
Purchase Protection
Your Mashreq Credit Card offers you extra peace of mind even after you have made your purchases with it. It automatically insures your purchase for a period of upto 90 days from the date of purchase against accidental damage, theft or loss.
How To Make A Purchase Protection Claim
If your purchased item is damaged, stolen or lost within 90 days of purchase, you can make a claim with Oman Insurance Company (OIC). The purchase will be repaired, rebuilt, replaced or refunded with a nominal deduction of US$ 50 for each claim.
Making a claim is simple. Just visit any Mashreq branch or call OIC on +971 4 262 4000 to receive a Claim Form. Complete the Claim Form and return it to OIC within 30 days of the loss along with the original store bill and Credit Card receipts showing that the purchase was made on a Mashreq Credit Card. If the item was stolen, a copy of the theft report must also be included.
Completed Claim forms will be evaluated and a letter will be sent to you informing you of the result. If the Claim is approved, the amount will be credited to your Mashreq Credit Card Account. If it is denied, the reason for denial will be stated. The maximum Claim Values for Platinum and Gold Credit Card holders are as follows:
- Per Item: US$ 2,000
- Per Occurrence: US$ 4,000
- Per Cardmember per annum: US$ 25,000
