1. What is a Transfer Challenge Code (TCC)?

The Transfer Challenge Code is a 10 digit alpha numeric code provided to you by Mashreq that is used to transfer funds through MashreqOnline from your account to any other bank account within and outside of UAE.

2. Do I need a TCC to transfer money to another bank account?

Yes, the Transfer Challenge Code must be used when you need to transfer funds from your account to another bank account.

3. How can I apply for a TCC?

Applying for the Transfer Challenge Code is easy and can be done from the comfort of your home or office by following a few simple steps:

  1. Sign on to MashreqOnline
  2. Click on the Account Servicing tab present on the top menu
  3. Select Apply for Transfer Challenge Code
  4. Complete the Transfer Challenge Code Application Form and submit

4. Do I have to visit the branch to collect the TCC?

No. Once you have applied for the TCC, it will be sent to via courier to the address that you provide on the online application form.

5. Can the TCC be collected by any one else in my absence?

No. the TCC can only be delivered to the account holder.

6. Can we have the TCC delivered to any international address?

No, the transfer challenge code cannot be delivered to any location outside the UAE.

7. Will I be informed about when the courier will make the delivery?

Yes, you will be called by the courier before they make the delivery, so that you can ensure that you are there for the delivery.

8. Do I have to show any identity proof while collecting the TCC?

Yes, to safeguard your online security we require you to produce proof of your identity to the courier, this ID will be retained by Mashreq for our records.

9. What are the different kinds of Identity Proofs that I can produce to receive my TCC?

You have to produce any one of the following valid photo identity proof for your identity when the TCC is delivered to you

  1. Your Passport
  2. Labour Card
  3. Driving License
  4. Work Permit
  5. Employee Card
  6. eGate Card
  7. UAE Nationals Identity Card

10. How do I activate my new TCC?

  • Sign On to MashreqOnline
  • Click on Money Transfer on the main top menu
  • Select one of the options from the left menu
  • Activate your TCC by providing requested details (Keep your TCC handy)

11. On what address will I receive my TCC?

You will receive your TCC on the address provided by you while completing the application form.

12. In how many days will I receive the TCC?

You will receive your Transfer Challenge Code within 48 hours of your application submission, subject to your availability to take delivery of the TCC from the courier.

13. What do I do if I do not receive my TCC 48 working hours after applying for it?

If you do not receive your TCC within 48 hours please send us a mail through MashreqOnline, with your reference number and we will help you get your TCC.

14. What is a reference number?

When you apply for a TCC through MashreqOnline you will receive a Reference number. This number will help you track the status of your TCC with the bank.

15. Where can I check the status of my TCC?

You can check the status of your TCC in your queue in MashreqOnline.

16. How can I change my TCC?

You cannot change your TCC.

17. Do I need a separate TCC for every transaction?

After acitvation you can use the same TCC for all your money transfer done through MashreqOnline.
