Best Structured Finance House in the Middle East

Mashreq has been recognized with six honors from the reputed EMEA Finance Awards, regularly hosted by the leading financial publication, EMEA Finance.
Acknowledging the bank’s efforts in advancing innovation within the UAE’s banking sector, Mashreq has been named as the Best Structured Finance House in the Middle East for the second year in a row, recognizing the bank’s work in leading landmark deals across the region.
EMEA Finance also honored the Most Innovative Sukuk award to a sukuk issuance advised by Mashreq,

the world’s first fintech sukuk from financial services company Wethaq.


Additionally, Mashreq bagged four more awards in recognition for its prominent role as the Lead Bank in four key investment projects around the region, which include:
  • Best structured finance deal in Europe: Duferco's US$750mn 5-year pre-export advance facility
  • Best structured finance deal in the Middle East: Shorouq's enhanced US$2bn pre-export facility
  • Best corporate sukuk: Arabian Centres Company's US$500mn debut sukuk
  • Best syndicated Ijara facility: Arabian Centres Company’s US$1.2bn asset-backed dual currency Ijara syndicated facility
In its 13th year, the annual Awards program organized by EMEA Finance highlights the best commercial, Islamic, investment and private banks, as well as brokers and asset managers, across the continent. The awards consider various performance and structural factors, such as market share, growth in important product classes, profitability and corporate strategy.
