In the event of total and permanent disability due to an accident continuing for more than 12 months, you can expect a lump-sum amount and a monthly benefit for 20 years.

Total permanent disability cover supporting you and your loved ones

Income Shield offers support in the event of total and permanent disability due to an accident. When disability has continued for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months, the insurance provider MetLife will pay a lump- sum amount and a monthly benefit for 20 years ( 240 months).
Loss of life indemnity
Income Shield covers loss of life due to accident, and provides a lump-sum coverage amount and a monthly benefit for 20 years (240 months).

Please note that MetLife will NOT provide COVERAGE AND/OR PAYMENT under the Policy and/or any Supplementary Contract if the policyholder, insured, or person entitled to receive such payment is residing in any sanctioned country or claiming the payment for any services received in any sanctioned country.

A grace period of thirty (30) calendar days will be granted for the payment of each premium falling due, during which time the policy shall be continued in force, however the policy will terminate if the premium is not paid within the grace period.

  • Active participation in terrorism.
  • Nuclear/Biological/Chemical radiation
  • Alcohol/Narcotics

You can cancel the policy at any time. The cancellation request can be placed by calling +9714 415 4777 or by sending an email to MetLife_DtC.Gulf@metlife.ae and there will be no requirement to fill any form for the policy cancellation.

You or your beneficiary can submit the claims request through the MetLife website (metlife.ae). After receiving the request, one of MetLife’s claims representatives will coordinate with you to process the claim.
